Barstow Community College ASB Discounts 2012/2013

This voluntary membership fee supports a wide range of student services, activities, and programs. All students enrolled are automatically assessed a membership fee of $6 per semester. Should a student choose not to be a member, the fee can be waived by completing the "Information and Waiver of ASB and Student Representation Fees" on this page. The ASB Viking Card will provide you with student discounts and privileges that are not available to students without the ASB sticker. Students may stop by the student government office to pick up a list of businesses around town that also honor the Barstow Community College Discount Card. This is a list of the benefits of the ASB membership:

  • Viking Bookshop: 5% discount on textbooks in store only with ASB card August 6th-August 10th, 2012 and January 2nd – 4th, 2012. Also, 10% discount on all other merchandise (not including textbooks, food, drink, sale items, special orders or Cosmetology Kits.)
  • Diamond Pacific Tool Corps: 10% discount with ASB sticker.
  • Family Fashionz: 10% discount with ASB sticker (with the purchase of $50.00 you will receive a single scoop of ice-cream from the Daily Stop).
  • Superior Supplement Source: 5% discount with ASB sticker. Plus, refer a friend and get a 10% discount.
  • Phantom Sports: 10% discount with ASB sticker.
  • Furniture Outlet: 10% discount with ASB sticker.

    Purchase of an ASB Card is validated by a sticker placed on the Student ID Card. ASB Cards are purchased at the time of registration or at Admission and Records throughout the semester. Validation stickers may be obtained from the Campus Events Office during their advertised hours.

    purchasers of the Barstow Community College Associated Student Body Card.

    The Student Representation Fee is used to support students who lobby for legislative issues that benefit community colleges and community college students. These funds are utilized by student representatives for travel to Sacramento to lobby legislators and for participation in CalSACC (California Student Association of Community Colleges) related activities. You may elect to waive the $1 fee for religious, political, financial, or moral reasons.
