Discussion Group Links
You can find the correct link to your class discussion group by clicking on the discuss link on the bottom of any class page. You should be aware that all class discussions are password protected. If you are unable to access your classroom discussion area, you should follow this link for further instructions. If after reading this tutorial you still cannot log in, check your registration at https://ias.barstow.cc.ca.us/. If the registration system shows you are enrolled you can fill out and submit the password help request form. If it is a weekend and you have an assignment due BEFORE Monday, you may email the webmaster@bcconline.com for help.
Your class can be accessed by clicking on the Log out link in the discussion board. This will allow you to view your registered class(es). Remember you can not access a class until the weekend before its official start date.
Remember that accessing your class(es) through the discussion group is the preferred method for registered students. Once you have logged into the discussion group, clicking on the HOME PAGE link will allow you to access the front page of your class(es) quickly and easily. In addition, logging into the discussion group will allow you to see a customized list of just your current courses. If a course has not started yet, you will not see it on your customized discussion group main page.
The class page has a list of all courses with links but it is NOT the preferred method for logging into your courses.
Note: Clicking on the Discussion Group A-E link will take you to the Book Buy/Sell area and the Tutorial Area. Unregistered students may post in the Book Buy/Sell Area by using their FULL NAME and no password.
